Academia allows users to connect their profiles to social networking sites for better suggestions of researchers to follow. To change connected websites, users should access their account settings and select "Social Profiles." You'll also be able to use that Social Profile to log in to Academia.

Connect (or disconnect) a Social Profile

Go to your Account Settings.
- Select Social Profiles.
- Click Connect next to the social networking site you'd like to connect to your Academia profile. Or click Disconnect for the opposite effect.
Other Social Profile settings
- Automatically follow a user's account that I download from: Check this box to follow someone when you download their paper.
- Make my Google link visible on my profile: Let's anyone viewing your profile see the Social Profile. Appears only when you've connected a Social Profile.
