Remove a co-author from a paper
- Go to your profile.
- Find the paper.
- Under the paper, click Edit.
- Click Co-authors.
- Find the co-author you want to remove.
- Click the X next to their name.
- Click Save Changes.
That’s it. Your paper should update right away.
Contact the author to remove a co-author
If you didn’t upload the paper, you won’t be able to remove co-authors except for yourself.
- Ask the uploader to update it: Go to the uploader’s profile and send them a message asking them to remove the incorrect co-author. You should see a Message button near their name.
- Still stuck? If you’re listed as a co-author and the co-authors on the paper look wrong, contact support and we’ll help you sort it out.
