How to change your login email

You can update your email address from your account settings, as long as you're logged in to Academia.edu.

To update your email address:

1. Log in to Academia, then click your name in the top right-hand corner of the page.
2. Select Account Settings from the dropdown menu.
   
3. Update your email address in the "Email" box.
4. Click Save.

Help! I can't log in to Academia

Don't panic! If you remember your password, you can still log in to Academia with your registered email address and password.

I don't remember my password

If you've forgotten your password, you'll need to reset it. Learn how to reset your password.

Password reset email not received

1. Check your spam or junk folder.
2. Add @academia-mail.com to your email provider's "Safe Senders" or "Filters" list and try resetting your password again.
3. If the email hasn't arrived after 24 hours, contact us to recover your account.

How do I recover my account?

If you can no longer access your email account, email us to request a change. Be sure to include in the email:

• Your full name
• Your Academia.edu profile URL
• Your registered email address
• Your new email address
• IP address from where you most recently accessed your Academia.edu account
