If you do not wish to have any AI-generated content on your profile, opting out is easy. We want to make sure everyone on Academia has control over how our AI features interact with your work.

Log in to your account. If you don't know the password, try the "Log in with Google" option or reset your password.
- Head to your account settings. Click on your name and profile photo in the top-right corner, then click Account Settings.
3. Click AI Settings at the bottom-left corner.
4. Click the Enabled toggle.
5. We'll show you a message explaining what happens when you opt out of AI. All AI-generated output, including AI abstracts and AI podcasts, will be deleted.
If you agree, click Opt Out.
Once you see "Disabled," we will no longer include AI-generated content on your documents.
