We're thrilled you'd like to try Academia's Translate PDF feature! We're hoping that this Academia Premium feature will allow more people to access more research worldwide, expanding their scholarship and connections through their academic network.
To translate a paper:
- Open the paper you wish to download in another language by clicking on the link or the title of that paper.
- Click Translate PDF.
- A small pop-in window will appear with two options:
- The language of the file attached. (Academia will automatically detect the paper language for you.)
- The language you'd like to have this paper translated into.
- Choose the language you'd like the paper to be translated into by clicking on the dropdown menu (B) and selecting your preferred language.
- Click Download Translated PDF.

I don't see the "Translate" button on the paper I want translated
For technical reasons, we are not always able to translate every paper on the site, and we're not great at translating graphs and other non-paragraph text. We're working to improve on both these elements.
