If your Analytics page is blank or not loading, it is usually caused by your browser, a browser extension, a temporary delay while your data loads, or being signed into the wrong account.
Troubleshooting checklist
Try these in order:
- Update your browser. Unfortunately, based on how our analytics tracking works, we are not able to support a large number of browser versions to view these pages. Updating your browser to the latest version ensures you're using a supported version of your browser.
- Turn off extensions (or try a private/incognito window). Some extensions (like ad blockers) prohibit you from seeing features of certain webpages. Temporarily disable ad blockers, privacy tools, and other extensions, then reload the Analytics page.
- Wait up to 30 seconds and refresh. If you have papers or a profile with extremely high view counts, wait up to 30 seconds for the page to load. It may take a while for our system to process the paper and profile views associated with your account.
- Confirm you're logged into the right account. If your profile looks unfamiliar, you might be logged into a different account.
Signs you're logged in to the wrong account
Common signs include:
- Missing papers or affiliations.
- Empty biography section or research interests.
- Little or no recent activity.
- You see a different email in your account settings.
To switch accounts:
- Log out of Academia.edu.
- Log back in with the email address you use for the correct account.
- Return to your profile, then open Analytics again.
If you're still stuck
If Analytics still will not load, contact support and include:
- Your profile URL.
- What browser and version you are using.
- Whether you tested in a private window.
- A list of any extensions you have enabled (especially ad blockers and privacy tools).
- A screenshot of what you see on the Analytics page.
