You can add research interests when you upload a paper, or any time later by editing the paper. Once you’ve finished adding your paper’s research interests, they’ll appear on your paper under the title.
Benefits of adding research interests
Research interests help more people find your work in a few key ways:
- Search visibility: Your paper is more likely to appear when someone searches for an interest you’ve tagged.
- Shared-interest discovery: Your paper may appear in newsfeeds for people who follow those interests.
- Search engine signals: Interests become keywords in your paper’s metadata.
- Topic browsing: Your paper is grouped with other documents tagged with the same interests in a browsable, document database.
