Your profile picture is the picture that appears at the top of your profile page and along with your name on any papers of which you are a co-author.
If you create an account with Facebook or Google+, your profile photo will default to the image presented in your Google+ or Facebook page.
There are two ways to change your profile photo. The first way you can change your profile photo is to do so from your edit profile menu. If you are not already on your profile, here's how to get there. Then, can edit this information by clicking "Edit" under your profile photo.
Select "Edit Photo" next to your photo, and select the image you wish to use from your desktop.
After you've selected the photo, select "Save edits."
You can also change your profile photo by clicking on your profile photo after the "Change your Profile Photo" has appeared.
Once you select one of these options, you'll see a box appear. If you want to upload a new photo, click the green "Upload" button, and select the photo you'd like to use. Your image should be 200x200 pixels in imagine size and under 1.5MB in document size. We recommend JPG or PNG file formats, and square images work best.
You can keep uploading new photos until you find the one you want. If you no longer want to have a profile photo, click the trash can next to your photo.
