We recommend that you add full citation information to any papers (or other academic works) that you upload to your Academia profile. This will allow other readers of your paper to cite you comprehensively.
Aside from the displayed information on our paper edit page, we also hide some additional citation or reference information you might want to add for your paper beyond a "Additional Information" box.
- Journal Name
- Publication Date
- Location (for a conference or talk)
- Time (start hour and end hour)
- Event Date
- Conference Start Date
- Conference End Date
If you would like to add any of this information to your individual piece, you can do so on your profile - here's how to get there. Then, click on "Edit" under the paper you'd like to add additional information to.
Then, scroll down to the bottom of the edit page. We offer two options here. First, we offer a "More Info" free text box that you can add additional data to, such as acknowledgements, co-authors without accounts, and translator/editor information. We also have more citation fields to view if you click the "Additional Information" blue text.
Add in all the information you'd like to add, then click "Save" in the top right-hand corner!
Troubleshooting
Q: I get a "Something went wrong!" error message.
A: This might be because you've exceeded the character limit in one of our text boxes. Try typing a shorter message.
Q: I still get "Something went wrong!"
A: Try restarting your browser, using a different browser, or restarting your computer. If that still doesn't work, let us know by clicking here and we'll see what further assistance we can offer. Please include your profile URL in your support request.
